What’s the difference between BEE and B-BBEE?

The simple and short answer is: there is no difference.

BEE is short for “Black Economic Empowerment”. The specific implementation of this idea is called B-BBEE – “Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment” which is a bit more descriptive, but in essence both these terms refer to the same strategic framework that is used to implement transformation changes in South Africa’s private sector, seeking to uplift and promote the participation of previously disadvantaged individuals in the economy.
